1 Imitation Rabbit Skin
A variety of cotton velvet, but with a longer pile than most velvets. Generally 50-in wide, and made from two-fold warp yarn, about 2/28's, and 28's or 30's weft, with 300 to 350 picks per inch. When cut after weaving the pile is very soft and thick. Dyed and finished to imitate rabbit skins.Dictionary of the English textile terms > Imitation Rabbit Skin
